A hearty bibliography

The first two sections (the problem and Tests and diagnosis) contain links to information of the accepted wisdom on the subject. They all represent proper official positions. The third section is a set of links to research papers and news, still very proper and official. The fourth section contain links to learn more about the anti-cholesterol antibody vaccination that I subjected myself to. Unfortunately, with the exception of three of the links, all marked, they are all in Hungarian. I created a separate little section dedicated to Ansel Keys, the creator of the food pyramid and the fraudulent foundation of the cholesterol myth.
What surprised me most in my investigation is the breadth of the literature on the subject. I found over a dozen books discussing it. I have eight of them.
The documentaries will take a bit of your time. Trust me, all three will be worth it. The lectures, videos and interviews are all very interesting, feel free to sample them. I linked to three YouTube channels, each with several videos on the subject.
The last three sections have links on subjects I will address in the third posting, “A Heartfelt Analysis”: the drug industry, the state side of the crony-capitalism equation and the plight of the medical profession.
If you are looking for shortcuts, here are my recommendations:
Watch the John Oliver video.
Check out the books and watch the Garry Null documentaries then start sharing this page with anyone taking statins. …… and let me know what you think about it all.

They are targeting sdLDL cholesterol specifically. They are significantly more effective than statins and even more significantly more expensive. I predict a great future for them.

Statins- The Greatest Scam In Medical History This is also an excellent video explaining how cholesterols work but it also addresses the dangerous risks and side effects of statins.

The drug industry
The drug industry is hopelessly corrupt. Beyond the possibility of redemption corrupt. They went a long way corrupting the medical establishment as well. The first few links below are about the corruption and the spending priorities of drug companies. then
Marketing to Doctors- Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO) Very funny. The following are articles addressing the points made in the John Oliver video.
Dietary Supplements Market Size Worth $278.02 Billion By 2024 Total prescription drug revenue global projection 2017-2022 - Statistic 9 of 10 top drugmakers spend more on marketing than research - Vox

But the doctors (AMA) are fighting back: Doctors lobby to keep lid of secrecy on industry payments for medical education - The Boston Globe
Leana Wen- What your doctor won’t disclose A doctor advocating transparency.
Putting Stents to the Test - The New York Times This is a study aimed to question the value and benefits of stents compared to statins. The big competitors for your health dollars are the medical establishment with their diagnostic tools, interventions and procedures; the pharmaceutical industry with their regulations, approval processes an intellectual property rights. The fact that these two are united in their fight with any alternative medicine, supplement or procedure, does not mean that they are not competing with each other. The stent faction versus the statin faction financing studies to gain relative prominence over each other.

Regulatory Science - Advanced Academic Programs - Johns Hopkins University

The doctor’s plight
Some doctors can see the problems and try to protect themselves, some take responsibility in a self-destructive way. The system we have does not make doctors generally happy either.
What your doctor won’t disclose Why doctors kill themselves 400 Doctors Commit Suicide Every Year
Are zombie doctors taking over America- The speaker is not very good, but makes a few good general points. He is pushing an idea (disconnect from the system) which is reminiscent of the system described by David Beito in “From Mutual Aid to the Welfare State” I wish it would work, but I have my doubts.

The above list is far from complete, but it should be a good starting point to help you finding answers. I could easily double or even triple this list but at some point, repeating or reformulating the same information will not give us any more value. Still, if you want more, just follow the yellow brick road. …..or take the red pill and see how deep the rabbit hole goes.
I hope to have pointed you in the right direction. if you have questions about the links, ask!
