Trump gave us Operation Warp Speed. Recently he got another covid booster and an mRNA based flu shot. He signed a 70 billion dollar deal with Pfizer. Soon after saying we should cut defense spending in half, and saying that Russia and China should consider doing the same, he raised defense spending by hundreds of billions. Almost everything DOGE recommended has been swept under the carpet. Aside from immigration most of the good done by this administration is being done by Kennedy and Tulsi. They are only in the administration because they brought their voters with them. If Trump backed them up they could have accomplished much more, but he ignores them. The only thing “good” about him being president is that he is not intentionally trying to destroy us. I think we would have at least a fifty percent chance of getting a better president by just picking anyone at random. Those in congress that he denigrates, Massie, Paul, MTG, Tulsi, Kennedy or Vance would be much better.
The main differences between his past reality show and the present one: the scope of the budget, the fact that we are all forced to watch this one and that literally billions of us don’t like it.

What's interesting about such situations is that you get stuck with the slang of the times of your leaving. Since I left I encountered two that I really like. Like most slang, they are difficult to translate, but let me try one: "ragozzam?" meaning: "should I conjugate it?"
Hungarian is a language that creates meaning with conjugation, adding prefixes and suffixes to not only verbs, but nouns and adjectives as well creating nuanced expressions with the generated new words.
If someone gives you a bitter, frustrated, angry rant and you want to show how much you can relate, you can just offer your own version to your interlocutor's frustration.

I am planning to leave the US and not return. Hungary is one of the few countries that I considered moving to. I understand that it is a difficult language to learn, but your description intrigues me. I may have to learn it despite not moving there. Not much came of my consideration of moving to Hungary since I have chosen Russia. However I have been enjoying paprika much more since then. Ragozzam, an unusual first word to learn in Magyar. Don’t think I could forget it if I had to. Thank you.
