On penetrating proclivities
As I was writing my last post and reading about the people I mentioned there, I came across another promising Young Global Penetrator with very special proclivities.
That’s him, Gabriel Attal, above. A short section of the Wiki-page about him:
“On 9 January 2024, amid a major government crisis, Attal was appointed by the French President, Emmanuel Macron, to replace Élisabeth Borne as Prime Minister of France. At the age of 34, he became the youngest person and the first openly gay person to serve as a G7 head of government as well as the ninth openly LGBT person and the youngest person currently serving as a head of state or government in the world.”
He has zero real life experience; it seems that he got into politics straight out of diapers, but that is not what got me.
From the paragraph above it seems that his greatest achievement is the fact that he is gay. I wonder how that helps him in the performance of his job. He probably knows a lot about penetrating tight places, but that still leaves me with the question: why do I need to know that? In what way is this a necessary part of his job description? Why does he have to be praised for it? How exactly will this fact help him in doing a better job? There is even a link to a page to a “List of openly LGBT heads of state and government” to keep track of them!
Just imagine that we introduce the new head of the CIA, Mr. Ramsbottom, who is the fattest person occupying this office ever, with his sheep that he is planning to marry?
Or Ms Fondler, the first education minister married to his son?
(Macron’s wife could be a role model for that.)
How did we get to the point where sexual orientations and proclivities appear to become prerequisites for positions of power? I understand that Politicians want to be role models, but shouldn’t they at least pretend to be role models for honesty, integrity, competence and compassion instead of their sexual proclivities? Pierre-Elliot Trudeau said at some point that:
“The state has no business in the bedrooms of the nation.”
I would not want to put anybody back into the closet, but couldn’t we expect them to put their penetrating proclivities back into the bedroom? Does it really have to be in the Élysée palace? Do we really have to treat members of the rainbow spectrum as trailblazing heroes of progress? Do they see themselves as such?
On subtle lies and AI
I really, really do not like to lie, yet, I lied in my last post. Let me explain.
I said: “A few years back I was on a skiing trip with four twenty-something boys.”
That was not exactly true. One of them was over thirty. It is a detail that is unimportant and irrelevant to the point of the story. Telling the ‘truth’ would have broken the flow and possibly confuse the reader for no good reason. So, I simplified. We all do such things. It is not even a white lie when it is just an omission to keep the story easy to understand.
Can AI make such simplification? Can it do shortcuts? Generalizations and simplifications at the cost of strict adherence to the truth? Let’s suppose, that AI has access to the records of our ski passes and can identify the age of the boys I was skiing with. Would it flag me as a liar? Technically it would be correct. Our lives are full of these kinds of little ‘lies’.
The data LLMs are trained on are full of them as they are full of mistakes. When a nurse or receptionist make a mistake typing in my birthday creating a discrepancy with other systems, how will the system handle it? This is not a theoretical question. Happened to me just a few days ago that I could not access some medical records because someone, somewhere typed a ‘3’ instead of a ‘2’ in my birthday and the system locked me out because my answer to its question did not match its records.
What I said now is, of course, not exactly true either, but I will not bore you with the tedious details of the whole story.
It is true in essence, but how can we expect an AI algorithm to understand that?
Can we program AI to lie? Wouldn’t that inevitably lead to the kind of cognitive dissonance depicted in 2001 Space Odyssey? Just asking….
On blatant BS and more lies
Read this trite, propagandistic baloney I got from the Conservative Party of Canada.
Justin Trudeau is throwing a wrench in your summer plans.
His costly carbon taxes are raising the price of gas and groceries to make your perfect summer impossible.
We need your thoughts.
Take the Official Summer Survey NOW. It will just take a minute.
Common sense Conservatives say that Canadians deserve a break.
But Trudeau is planning to ruin family road trips, sunny BBQs, and vacations.
Let us know what you think!
Take the Official Summer Survey and share your thoughts.
Thank you for your input.
Let’s axe the taxes and Bring it Home!
Sincerely,
Conservative Party of Canada
When I pasted this in, I was planning to highlight all the BS, just to realize that I cannot find a single sentence that isn’t. This letter and the linked survey are treating me as if I was retarded. This deeply insulting emotional manipulation mapped in a series of lies is having the opposite of its intended effect.
It convinced me not to vote Conservative. The survey is just as disingenuous and cheesy as the letter.
Just click on the link and observe!
I used to like Poilievre quite a bit, but I like him less every day. He just wants the job too much and will most likely end up like Stephen Harper, spending more energy on keeping his job than on doing it well.
The cheap sloganeering is beyond disappointing. I will probably vote Bernier (A conservative leaning libertarian spin-off party).
On a personal note:
The 30+ boy I was mentioning above is my son, who finally got married this weekend. I was far too busy to finish the post I was planning for today. With my next post, and another few, I will be returning to the insanity that is the World Economic Forum.

On Gabriel Attal and others assuming places of prominence, parading their "proclivities" for all to intentionally force the populations to not only accept, but to celebrate their practices and to accord them some kind of hero's status for their boldness and defiance of civilized norms:
And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep. For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment; if he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; if by turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes he condemned them to extinction, making them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; and if he rescued righteous Lot, greatly distressed by the sensual conduct of the wicked (for as that righteous man lived among them day after day, he was tormenting his righteous soul over their lawless deeds that he saw and heard); then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment, and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority… But these, like irrational animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed, blaspheming about matters of which they are ignorant, will also be destroyed in their destruction, suffering wrong as the wage for their wrongdoing. They count it pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, while they feast with you. They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin. They entice unsteady souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children! Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray…These are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm. For them the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved. For, speaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved. 2 Peter 2:3-10; 12-15a; 17-19
But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble. Proverbs 4:18-19
And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God. John 3:19-21
The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. Romans 13:12
On A.I.:
It is a false god, which is part of a false religion, that seeks to create an idol made with hands that is greater than its fallen makers. It cannot produce good, only varying shades of a declining "norm" driven by psychopaths who seek to substitute the synthetic, the digital, the revisionist aspirations of avaricious, empire building tyrants and since the input is flawed, the exponential error of the output will be so significant it will overshadow any possible "virtue" aspired to in its existence. It will eventually deem humankind (as we are) unnecessary and a nuisance since it will lack compassion, ethics and a moral basis upon which any acquired or "evolved" wisdom can be applied judiciously. The frigidity of cold, poorly programmed logic and the best "data" composites that can be (selectively) used to "train" it will only produce the most ruthless and unyielding of outcomes.
On B.S.:
It proliferates in a society where all standards, reference points and values have been jettisoned in favor of relativity and an ever-degrading sense of "right" and "wrong". Absent any absolute, only the worst of us will be manifest, especially in the public arena, but also in our deepest thoughts and desires -- which will have been corrupted as well in the absence of understanding that the world, society, human relationships are governed by absolutes built in the created world that will produce consequences that no amount of denial or propagandized misdirection can overcome.
