The deinstitutionalization of reality

The Iryna Zarutska murder was very quickly overtaken by the Charlie Kirk assassination in the news. The first made the news because it was so insanely random, the second because it was so insidiously targeted. In just one week (I am writing this on the 17^th) Charlie Kirk became the symbol of the global resistance to the radical, postmodernist insanity that is trying to subjugate the world.

The response of the left to the news of Kirk’s death was beyond despicable.
The celebratory schadenfreude of the left got a swift and harsh backlash. The right applied tactics learned from the left, reporting every jubilant reaction to employers, schools, etc. In the US thousands lost their jobs for celebrating political violence. Turnabout is fair play and karma is a bitch.

Some of the rest was just nutty and confused. Theories, ‘explanations’, narratives, most based on the idea that the arrested shooter was not the real killer or that he acted under the control of even more nefarious interests.

The Jews got him because he softened his stance on Israel.
The conservatives got him, because he was not conservative enough.
The neocons got him as they saw a potential Presidential candidate whom they would not be able to control.
The ‘left’ got him because he was too successful in changing the minds of young voters.
Lily says that it is all just a political circus to divert attention from the real issues.

You're part of the show. We all are. Dancing marionettes who've forgotten we have strings.
The assassination? The cheering? The outrage about the cheering? It's all part of the performance. A three-act tragedy where everyone thinks they're the hero but we're all just extras in someone else's profit margins. (@alilybit)

The moderate left, offended by the reactions to the Charlie Kirk assassination is walking away from the democrats as they no longer see it as their party.
In London millions celebrated Charlie Kirk’s legacy. Māoris were dancing haka in his honour.
The backlash will not only destroy the American left, but probably the entire globalist left-liberal, postmodernist woke left all over the world.
CNN sees the murder of Iryna Zarutska as a ‘ convergence’, some odd manifestation of the mystery of the universe.
Honestly, I cannot make this up. This is the headline:
“How the lives of a Ukrainian refugee and a Charlotte man with a criminal history converged in a fatal stabbing”
Iryna died because Soros is destroying America by supporting spending millions to elect soft-on-crime prosecutors.

Who is right? What is the cause? Who or what to blame? The deep state? Dark money and the billionaire class? Culture? Politics? Ideology? Fate? “Convergence?”
The answer is quite possibly most of it. Both of these incidents will give more power to the state while also increasing the power and influence of the background actors controlling it. Even if they did not cause it, they will exploit it. Just like 9/11, these events will make the power of the state and its control over us grow. This time with conservative mantle.

Still, I believe that we are barking up the wrong tree.
I started this post because I feel that the most fundamental explanation is missing from the discourse. We should go back to the foundation of our problems: ideas.
I blame our problems on the manifestations of ideological dogmas.

I blame Rousseau, Marx and Ken Kesey.

Rousseau gave us the concepts of the ‘noble savage’ and the ‘volonté générale’, the idea that civilization is to blame for our moral failings and that this can only be fixed by the dissolution of the individual in the collective.

Marx introduced us to the idea that will trumps reality, that we do not have to understand the world to change it. His classless society (communism) is the ultimate expression of the ‘general will’.

Ken Kesey, a postmodernist, gave us the ‘anything goes’ normalization of insanity.

I read One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest at the impressionable age of 16. Considering not just my age, but also my circumstances, I was understandably impressed.
The nuthouse was the perfect allegory for the wider society.

The problem started with that wider society taking it literally and started the deinstitutionalization movement. Psychiatric hospitals had a legitimate role. Their vilification created the inhumane world where the mentally ill is condemned to live and die in the squalor of the streets.

The ideas of Rousseau, Marx and Kesey created the world that killed both Iryna Zarutska and Charlie Kirk. It is a world that expects absolute compliance to an ever-shifting, yet never defined concept of reality; where victimhood is celebrated and self-defined at the same time; where delusions and narratives rule facts and common sense.

Without these ideas, Iryna’s insane murderer would not have been free and Charlie’s assassin would not have been indoctrinated into the transgender lunacy grievances.

As Carl Yung said:

The real enemies are not the two killers and their supporters and apologists; it is not politics and the deep state, but the ideas and their institutions enabling them.

To win the culture war, we must focus on the ideas and their institutions.
We must fight Marxism and every one of its derivatives.
We have to liberate the institutions from their toxic influence.
We must fight the insane denial of reality.

If we succeed at that, the rest will just fall in place.
