As soon as I read your invective of 'anti-semitism' I had to write you off as just another stupid person who has no right to my time. Stick to reality, not vain imaginations.

It is your prerogative, but just like beauty is in the eyes, 'stupid' is in the mind of the beholder.

No reasonable person can claim that the Gaza war did NOT cause an increase in anti-Semitic incidents

even the most casual of observers could deny the unquestionable justification of those alleged "anti-semitic incidents".

Many of those events were organized by the same people who claim they are antisemitic. It's all a stupid show that is all sound and fury signifying nothing. Chaos is the objective.

Scorched earth tactics do more harm than good, which is why Israel was losing the PR war and igniting antisemitic sentiments. I also thought Trump’s response was genius, solving many problems with one innovative idea. However, my response to all of it was, “Don’t start wars. If you start a war, don’t be surprised if the response is a stealth attack”. My opinion, they needed more money and see it as an opportunity for bloodlust and stirring up more hatred.” They seem to love committing horrors, they’re always so gleeful, parading the dead bodies like trophies. I’ve been there and have seen bad behavior and poor living conditions on both sides. But explain to me why it’s so easy to identify the difference. Visiting the mosque in Jerusalem was gloomy and foreboding. Arab housing stark and rocky while Israeli housing was green and floral. Little things like that tells you a lot. The Palestinian Christians are warm and welcoming, while angry youth run after cars throwing rocks. Like most societies you have your creators and builders and your destroyers full of anger and resentment.

We have no disagreement, hence the title of the post.

I expressed my dismay over the violence in my previous posts, clearly making the point that in my view, the only decent solution is convincing the Palestinians to leave with a generous compensation. I have also been in Israel and share your sentiments.

You should consider reading the Tuvia Tenenbom's book:

One can opine about this mess without being antisemitic or pro Hamas, but pro common sense. The USA has granted billions of dollars to Israel in addition to outsourcing to and subsidizing many Israeli companies. The tech miracle did not happen because of all those plucky Jews, a lot of it was built with USA money, our money. Israel has the fastest growing number of millionaires percapita then any other nation and the $369B total aid is more than all other aid to nations combined. Contrast that with the USAID to Israel at $49M/day for just military expenditures vs. $2.7M in humanitarian aid to Palestine. How much of the aid to Palestine is siphoned off by hucksters. Perhaps you can understand the difference between the two in terms of superficial observation of conditions between the two. The reality is we are being ripped off and the wars continue because it is profitable. The expansionism of Israel is not about Islam vs. Judaism it's about money, and the capture of scarce resources.

Completely agree and even said so in one of the linked articles.

Neither side should be financed in any shape or form by ANY actor.

Having said that, this can only happen as long as Israel has clearly defined, universally accepted and defendable borders. One state solution with no foreign interference.

Anybody arguing otherwise is secretly rooting for the Jews' demise.

In my book, that is called antisemitism

"Having said that, this can only happen as long as Israel has clearly defined, universally accepted and defendable borders."

Therein lies the problem, Zork, Israel will never be satisfied with this approach. When the UN created Israel weren't there defined borders that everyone signed off on (at least the West)? The Israeli's are seeking expanded borders (lebensraum) and the scarce resources that go along with it. Imperialism is always about the scramble for scarce resources and the West has long been accused of taking from the weak to control those resources and Israel seems to be using the same playbook funded by the West. A one state solution is never going to be acceptable to either Israel or Palestinians. Why should the Palestinians be displaced, rather than the Central European Zionists? I am not arguing the demise of Israel, I am simply stating facts regarding a problem that is not ours and it has been costly in blood and treasure for the American people. Making my argument is not antiSemitic no matter what you say. AntiSemistism is a word, like Islamaphobia, that was created by fascists, and used by cowards, to manipulate morons.

"Why should the Palestinians be displaced, rather than the Central European Zionists?"

Let me count the ways:

Because this is the only piece of land in this world where the Jews have roots. Where they have history. The way they do not have it in ‘Central Europe’, or Russia, or Western Europe or Argentina or India (yes, there are Synagogues in India).

Because the word ‘Palestinian’ did not designate a people before the establishment of the modern Jewish state. (Here’s how the Palestinians got their name: https://www.thejewishstar.com/stories/heres-how-the-palestinians-got-their-name,22410 )

Because, as I pointed out in the post, the Muslim Arabs residing in today’s Israel could seamlessly fit in the surrounding 150 million strong Muslim Arab communities. The Jews do not have such an option.

What I find most interesting in these conversations is how I cannot find a single person capable of offering a viable alternative, a viable solution to this never-ending conflict.

The proposition of the ethnic Jewish state may not be to the liking of many, but it would be a solution. WHAT IS THE ALTERNATIVE???? The only one I have seen offered so far is the implicit advocacy of their elimination. That is the definition of antisemitism.

I completely agree. Corruption seems to be the de rigueur around the world. It’s despicable. Everyone wants to be a billionaire, millions just won’t do. Israel is as corrupt as anyone, but back to basics. Start a war, parade bodies in the streets, use your own citizens as shields, don’t be surprised if the response is a stealth scorched earth reaction. Criticism of Israel does not have to be defined as antisemitic, there’s plenty of fault on both sides. But starting wars is on Hamas with Palestinian compliance. Don’t start wars.
