Well presented and thoughtful work. I agree. I wish more people could see the reality of what you are expressing.

Thank you Terry,
I wish that as well. I will try to blend this subject into a larger discussion about the possible reasons why is this so.

Make sure you attache this article to your Likud party membership application.
It seems to me,that you are influenced by Zionist double talk. I’m not surprised, since you stayed on one of the settlements. A typical settler, usually coming from a western country, is a religious bigot and(or) a believer in jewish supremacy (übermensch). Not to mention the god given real estate and chosen people nonsense. I thought I was reading a propaganda pamphlet by Herr Goebbels. The term judenfrei in its historical meaning is not applicable. No one was forcefully uprooted or killed by the Palestinians to establish this judenfrei zone. It is unfortunate, that you didn’t visit that part of the city. You could have walked in or take a cab. What were you afraid of? I highly doubt, that you would have been insulted or assaulted by the arabs. You said Israel is a safe place.
This is not the usual unbiased well thought out and written opinion, I’m used to reading on your blog.

I am sorry to hear that I did not live up to your standards.
I must, however, point out a simple fact: I’ve been there, you have not.
You do not seem to understand neither the history nor the present. I may address these questions in a future post, or in person.
