I’m truly sorry your wife and you are suffering this affliction, Zork, but it sounds like if anyone can beat it, she can.

My uncle developed turbo cancer after his second shot, and they immediately started him on an intensive course of radiation and chemo. They will be assessing him for surgery options at his next appointment.

You probably already know about fenbendazole, which appears to be one of the more promising alternative treatments:

And ivermectin, of course:

I know someone who had great success with a combination of CBD and THC oils as per the Rick Simpson protocol:

Cancer thrives on carbs. A ketogenic (under 30g carbs/day) or even a carnivore diet combined with intermittent fasting can be extremely effective for inducing autophagy, which sweeps away cellular debris.

Thank you very much for the comment and the tons of information in it. I have several of my own lists. 😉

We are doing quite a bit of it already.

Being in Canada, getting Ivermectin is not easy, but I will find a way.

Fenben we are doing. CBD/THC does not agree with her, but that was at the beginning of the treatment, even before the chemo.

We do intermittent fasting and time to time even the 72 hours extended ones

We both grew up in a world where protein was the reward for eating the carbs. She has a hard time giving up potatoes and bread

Her worst problems these days are mostly drug side effects, such as loss of coordination, extremely dry eyes, etc. But we are fighting.

I am going through your list and working on my next post on the same subject

It sounds like you are doing all the right things, so that is reassuring.

Regarding ivermectin, have you tried the Petmectin from Virex recommended by 2nd Smartest Guy? (use 2SGPET to get 10% off)

One of my readers also provided a more affordable recommendation you may wish to investigate:

As far as carbs go, Maya Krampf of Wholesome Yum is my favorite keto cookbook author, and she specifically has a cookbook for carboholics:

Her first cookbook is also spectacular:

The problem is that we are both very good cooks. In my case, it is my learned trade. If you care to, you can read a short post about it:

We love to treat and entertain and it is very difficult to give it up.

But we are working consistently on reducing carb

The problem with you, Margaret, is that your posts and even your comments are such deep rabbit holes that it can take me hours to emerge from them 😉

Haha, being very good cooks just means your low-carb/high-fat meals will be all the more delicious, and you can convert those you are entertaining as well! I’ve been eating low-carb for almost a decade and have never once missed “regular” food because everything I make is scrumptious and satiating.

*lol* If you think that’s bad, try living in my brain and having millions of rabbit-holes constantly opening up and distracting me from the other rabbit-holes I’m halfway down, hence the thousand-plus drafts I have in progress ;-)

I am sorry to read about you wife's multiple myeloma. I met her once or twice before you moved north, but I cannot recall her name. I do recall she is a very pleasant woman.

Thank you Jim,

My problem is that I can handle the problem itself much better than my frustration with the system that created it and still actively working on preventing us from accessing alternatives.

I am so sorry about your wife. I had a good friend who died of multiple myeloma. They gave him "about ten years" to live, which is about how long he lived. It was not a steady decline though. He lived a very good full life for the majority of those ten years. My advice is to enjoy every last minute of those years, and I hope most of them are good years like my friends', happy and fairly healthy. And my wish is that you will have many more than ten years to enjoy together. Doctors have underestimated people many times before.

What is most frustrating for her is that she cannot be as active as we used to be.
